BioI am a science fiction writer, software developer, softball player, baseball fan, private pilot, and avid reader of just about anything I can get my hands on.
My first professional s.f. story, "When I Kissed the Learned Astronomer" appeared in the July 2007 issue of InterGalactic Medicine Show.
I love science fiction. My favorite writers include Isaac Asimov, Barry Malzberg, Alfred Bester, Cyril Kornbluth, Joe Haldeman, Harlan Ellison, Robert J. Sawyer. Too many to mention, really.
I am particularly fond of "Golden Age" s.f. and s.f. from the 1970s. And while it's hard to keep up with so many good stories being written these days, among those whose short fiction I almost never pass up are: Michael A. Burstein, William Shunn, James Patrick Kelly, Michael Swanwick, Kate Wilhelm, and Connie Willis.
To support my writing habit, I have worked these last 14 years as a software application developer for a pubic policy think-tank.
